CET counselling may be held at Hubli, Gulbarga
Bangalore: Here’s some good news for CET aspirants from Hubli and Gulbarga. If the state government has its way, students no longer need to come all the way to Bangalore for the counselling.
A proposal has been sent to start counselling centres in Hubli and Gulbarga to help students from these districts and surrounding areas.
Sources told TOI: “During counselling, students from lower income group find it difficult to book a hotel room as they are expensive in Bangalore. The room rates usually go up at the time of the counselling. Therefore, most of these students come directly to the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) and use the facilities there. If centres are opened in Hubli and Gulbarga, then those from nearby areas can go there directly.’’ They said the rush for the counselling will also be reduced. Read more »
